UMW Aerospace Production Plant Anchor System
The Challenge
UMW Aerospace is a home-grown company to become a Tier-1 supplier to Rolls-Royce and it is the first Malaysian company to be a Tier-1 aerospace engine component manufacturer. Based in the UMW High-Value Manufacturing Par in Serendah, Sonicon was appointed a project to make openings for the installation of airplane engine component production equipment.
Our Approach & Result
Job includes of surveying, marking, coring and cutting slabs before they continue to install the anchor. The openings have to be cored at an accurate angle with high precision to ensure optimum grouting strength. Sonicon Diamond Coring method were deployed to prepare for the anchoring system. Sonicon has completed all openings for 16 of the production equipment.
