Shot Blasting
Captive or Shot Blasting prepares both concrete and metal surfaces by firing steel shot at high speed onto the surface to remove old coatings, laitance, and surface contaminants. Powered by SGi Tech, the machine are closed circuit which makes the whole process dust free. After blasting, the floor is left with a clean, profiled surface that’s recoating, resurfacing, or further treatment.
For concrete floors, this method is highly effective to strip paint, sealers, or thin epoxy coatings in large areas. It is 20× faster than manual grinding while also exposing any weak spots by creating surface indentations in just one step. This is useful to identify areas that might need patching before new coating application. For steel surfaces, Shot Blasting efficiently removes rust and scale, bringing the metal to a near-white finish ready for painting or corrosion protection.
All machines are paired with high-efficiency dust collectors to ensure that any ongoing operations are not interrupted, even if it’s high-traffic areas.
