The Challenge

A residence at Westside 3 required structural modifications to expand the pantry area. The project involved scanning, coring, and wall sawing to create additional space and easier access for the homeowners. Since it is a residential building and evermore occupied, all work needed to be completed quickly, with minimal noise, and vibration-free to avoid disturbing residents. Moreover, no structural reinforcements or utilities were to be compromised before proceeding with coring and sawing.

Our Approach & Result

Sonicon utilized Xradar™ Concrete Scanning to accurately map out the structure, identifying rebar, and utilities before any cutting work began. Once confirmed, our team proceeded with precision concrete coring, carefully drilling in the designated areas. Finally, wall sawing was carried out to seamlessly enlarge the pantry space while ensuring a clean, vibration-free cut with no unnecessary structural stress.

Expanding a pantry in a residential building requires careful execution. Noise, dust, and vibration must be controlled to avoid disrupting the people living there. At Westside 3, Sonicon was tasked with scanning, coring, and wall sawing to create a larger pantry space while keeping the work as quiet and seamless as possible. Using Xradar™ Concrete Scanning, every hidden reinforcement, and utility was mapped out before the team proceeded.

With precision, the core openings were completed, followed by wall sawing to carefully expand the space. The advanced methods used ensured minimal structural impact, allowing the work to be done efficiently and safely. The pantry was successfully expanded, with no unnecessary noise, vibration, or disruptions to residents. A clean, precise, and efficient solution for modern living spaces.
