Gurney Hotel Scanning
The Challenge
In this case study, Gurney Hotel was undergoing an upgrading work but consultants require more information to access the structural integrity of the building.
Our Approach & Result
Sonicon was tasked to scan 112 columns and concrete wall to report our findings on rebar diameter, cover, average spacing, rebar pattern. Core test were conducted as well to access the compressive strength of the concrete. S-Ray Scanning was adopted to increase the accuracy of our findings.
A comprehensive report for all 112 columns were prepared for the consultants. They were able to make sound decision based on the data provided on how the renovation should be proceeded.
