Post Tension Mapping for Google Canteen
The Challenge
Google office in KL is undergoing some renovation works for their new canteen. Before they proceed with coring and other installation works, client realized that it is a pre-stressed slab that contains high strength steel tendons. It is dangerous if they just core the slab which will damage the tendons and leads to structural failure.
Our Approach & Result
Sonicon was assigned to scan the level with our non-destructive S-Ray scanning technology. Our trained engineer managed to scan the whole level and map out all tendons. With the drawing marked by our engineer, client was able to decide the new coring locations to continue their renovation progress.
