The Challenge

A commercial building under construction in Jalan Tengah, Bukit Bintang faced surface drainage issues in its parking area. Due to improper construction levels, several zones across 2 floors posed a high risk of water pooling during heavy rain. This not only affected usability but also raised concerns about long-term water damage and user safety. Since it is an ongoing site, the client needed a precision rectification solution without disturbing ongoing site activity.

Our Approach & Result

We were engaged to mill 300m² across 2 parking floors, targeting scattered zones with poor drainage. Using SGi Tech’s Parana Milling, we removed between 5mm to 30mm of concrete at each location, adjusting to elevation differences to prevent water accumulation. Despite ongoing construction activity, our team completed the job in 5 days without disrupting other activities, delivering precise surface corrections and helping the client avoid long-term issues caused by improper floor gradients.

At Jalan Tengah, Bukit Bintang, a commercial building is currently developing. However after inspection, it was discovered that there is improper surface grading that would lead the parking floors to ponding. Once the building starts operation, rainwater would accumulate in multiple low points across 2 different levels, raising both maintenance and safety concerns.

The client turned to us for a solution. Rather than manually hacking that might impose threats onto the integrity of the building or leaving the floor uneven, we carried out targeted rectification using SGi Tech’s parana milling. This technology allowed us to complete the job speedily, no vibration and minimal dust for operational sites.

The project involved selective milling of 300m² with depth adjustments between 5mm and 30mm. This precision milling approach allowed us to preserve unaffected areas while levelling only the sections that required correction.

The job was completed over 5 days while the site remained active, with no impact on surrounding work. The newly profiled surface now allows for proper drainage, minimizing water build-up and delivering a safer, better-performing parking area.
